Clean Harbors, a leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Red Deer, AB.

This role involves rigging centrifuges and servicing solids control equipment at the branch and in the field, requiring up to 50% travel throughout Alberta and Western Canada.

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate and optimize centrifuge performance, barite recovery, and strip drilling mud.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues and other problems that arise.
  • Work on-site with clients on rotating day or night shifts to ensure efficient equipment operation.
  • Maintain and repair Clean Harbors' equipment during slow periods.
  • Rig down and set up on-site accommodations, generators, and tank farm systems.
  • Complete daily safety documents, JSA's, work orders, service records, and reports.
  • Provide solutions and complete reports for customers on-site.

Requirements include:

  • Previous experience operating centrifuges is required.
  • Drilling rig experience is an asset.
  • You must be flexible, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract is required.
  • First-Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO safety tickets are necessary upon hire.
  • You should possess strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • You'll be required to travel 50% of the year, spending up to 1-2 weeks away from home at a time.

Estimated annual salary: $65,000 - $90,000 based on industry standards for similar positions in Red Deer, AB.
