Family Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Treatment Worker to join our team at Ranch Ehrlo Society. As a Family Treatment Worker, you will play a vital role in providing home-based family services and support to families in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist participants in day-to-day functioning, teaching life skills such as self-care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and positive behaviors.
- Maintain a therapeutic milieu and collaborate with the team to strategically plan and assign daily tasks.
- Implement individual and family treatment plans, clinical intervention strategies, and support participants in reaching individual and group goals.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to provide input on individual and family treatment plans, treatment needs, and family situations.
- Provide childcare for families during treatment program groups, addictions programming, medical appointments, and other meetings with professionals.
- Provide in-home support in crisis situations and transport participants for treatment-related purposes as required.
- Document all incidents and updates, including communication logs, critical incidents, medication administration, appointments, and individual or family updates.
- Completion of a high school diploma.
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in social sciences or a related human service field is an asset.
- Up to one (1) year of experience working with children, youth, and/or families.
- Experience working independently with diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, complete tasks independently, and display strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead through motivation, role-modelling, and support, and display emotional competence and self-awareness.
- Ability to display empathy, patience, and understanding in individual and family interactions, and possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to set clear, attainable goals and meet individual, group, and program objectives, and be flexible and adapt to new situations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of child development and parenting skills and strategies, and knowledge of mental health, addictions, domestic violence, trauma, poverty, and attachment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, and ability to work in high-risk situations and make critical decisions.
- Open to continuous education and learning and development opportunities, and basic computer proficiency.
