Job Title: Audio-Visual Field Engineer

At Diversified, we're seeking a skilled Audio-Visual Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for commissioning AV systems at client sites to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission AV systems at client sites, optimizing settings to ensure system performance meets scope and design intent.
  • Draw redlines, coordinate network setup, and communicate with project teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, tracing signal flow and engaging relevant parties to resolve issues.
  • Configure AV networks and coordinate client networks.
  • Create and modify DSP files for typical systems, focusing on AEC optimization for videoconferencing and coordinating control objects with programmers.
  • Contribute lessons learned feedback to install, design, and pre-sales engineering teams to improve system designs, product selection, and implementation.
  • Archive configuration and programming files for efficient service team operations.
  • Maintain and grow certifications and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates and up preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a relevant industry, field installation, and/or systems design experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic and complex AV and network systems, familiar with MTR and Zoom Rooms.
  • DSP certification from one or more manufacturers: Biamp, QSC, BSS.
  • Control certification from one or more manufacturers: QSC, Extron, Crestron.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge or familiarity with broadcast or hybrid conference-live event systems.
  • Able to commission and troubleshoot using only a virtual connection to the system with onsite support.
  • Extron AVE Associate, Audinate Dante Level 1, Audinate Dante Level 2, Biamp Tesira Server, Q-Sys Level 2 and Control, Extron Certified Control Professional, Shure Integrated Systems Level 1, AVIXA CTS.
Work Environment:
  • This position will primarily work on-site with some office work.
  • Employee will spend most of the day on their feet moving around the jobsite.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40lbs and be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Frequent travel required.
