Electrical Journeyman

About the Role
OZZ Electric BC is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team as a key member on the tools. As a dynamic and safety-focused individual, you will be responsible for installing electrical equipment, connecting wiring, and terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
- Terminate wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices
- Observe functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety
Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset)
- Experience working on high-rise and/or commercial new construction projects
- Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Field Safety Representative ticket is an asset
Working Conditions
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
- Local work in the lower mainland
