Job Summary

At Northern Star Hotel & Convention Center, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment

Dust furniture and fixtures to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean appearance

Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to remove dirt and debris

Make beds and change sheets to ensure a clean and comfortable sleeping environment

Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guests as needed

Stock linen closets to ensure a sufficient supply of linens and towels

Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment

Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to prevent the spread of illness and infection

Clean and disinfect elevators to maintain a clean and safe environment

Handle and report lost and found items to ensure that guests' belongings are returned to them

Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items to provide excellent customer service

Provide basic information on facilities to guests, including location of amenities and services

Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and safe environment

Launder clothing and household linens to ensure a clean and hygienic environment

Mend clothing and linens to repair tears and damage

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment

Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment

Clean changing rooms and showers to maintain a clean and safe environment

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related field

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Ability to work on site and maintain a clean and safe environment

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as cleaning equipment and linens

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner

Working Conditions

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Ability to work in a variety of environments, including kitchens, bathrooms, and guest rooms

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as cleaning equipment and linens

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
