Hospital Human Resources Strategic Partner

At Runnymede Healthcare Centre, we are seeking an experienced Hospital Human Resources Strategic Partner to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position.
Job DescriptionThe Hospital Human Resources Strategic Partner will partner with clients to provide support and strategic business thinking in clinical and non-clinical settings. The incumbent will utilize broad HR skills and knowledge to deliver expertise, guidance, and support on all HR activities including recruitment and retention, compensation and benefit administration, labour and employee relations, and organizational development.
Primary Responsibilities:- Provide value-added professional HR advice for effective delivery to clients in areas of conflict resolution, performance matters, and general HR issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Prepare various HR reports and ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR Information Systems data.
- Advise managers and staff on policies and procedures related to human resources best practices.
- BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH EMPLOYEES, MANAGEMENT, AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO ASSIST WITH MEETING NEEDS IN A PROACTIVE MANNER.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Deliver sound guidance on workplace violence, discrimination, and harassment, return-to-work/modified work by identifying and cooperating with Occupational Health.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and collective agreements during the recruitment and selection process.
- Represent the Hospital in day-to-day administration of collective agreements and provide interpretation for both managers and staff.
- Provide consultative and supportive services to managers and employees with respect to employee and workplace issues such as incident investigations, progressive discipline, and performance issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- CHRP designation is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a generalist role dealing with HR Management issues and practices.
- Labor relations experience in a unionized environment is required, with HR experience in a hospital environment being a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and statistical analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates complex decision-making ability and creative problem-solving/critical thinking skills.
- Statistical and report analysis are assets.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
