Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our executive team as the Chief Operating Officer. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Chief Construction Officer and Chief Financial Officer, the COO will contribute to the development and implementation of AWARD's company mission, vision, and corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing on strategic, operational, and performance objectives
  • Leading a culture that attracts, develops, and retains high-performing talent committed to AWARD's values and culture
  • Driving innovation, performance, and profitability across the business
  • Overseeing company operations, project timelines, and employee productivity to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in project execution
  • Financial & Risk Management: measuring and analyzing revenue streams, optimizing business growth strategies, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing financial procedures to enhance operating capabilities
  • Assessing and implementing improved processes, technologies, and organizational policies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Building and maintaining relationships with industry professionals and organizations to foster partnerships and drive business growth
Requirements
  • Construction industry experience is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Understanding of business principles, including financial management, strategic planning, and market analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver presentations and negotiate contracts
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with strong planning and organizing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours, as required
