Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Management Professional to join our team at Lewisstores. As a key member of our Customer Management Services team, you will be responsible for analyzing and mitigating credit risk across all aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Credit Risk Strategies: Establish optimal credit risk policies and limit calculations to ensure the company's financial stability.
  2. Conduct Comprehensive Risk Analysis: Analyze current strategies and identify areas for improvement to minimize credit risk exposure.
  3. Design and Implement A/B Testing Strategies: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize credit risk management.
  4. Manage Exposure and Risk: Define rules to manage exposure based on customer performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with project managers, business analysts, system developers, and IT teams to design solutions that drive business success.
  6. Streamline Operational Processes: Engage with the Marketing and Collections operational teams to optimize their mandates and improve overall efficiency.
  7. Produce Monitoring Reports: Develop and maintain accurate and timely monitoring reports to inform business decisions.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Mentor and Upskill Junior Analysts: Provide guidance and support to junior analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  2. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with regulations and external data providers.
  3. Generate Ad-Hoc Reports and Analytics: Develop and provide ad-hoc reports and analytics to support business decisions.
  4. Build Professional Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and external vendors.
  5. Collaborate on Key Projects: Work collaboratively with the Customer Management Services team on other key projects.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  2. Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy skills, high proficiency in SQL or SAS, and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Experience: Proven experience in all areas of the credit lifecycle and scorecards.
Skills and Attributes
  1. Knowledge of Credit Risk Scorecards: Understanding of how credit risk scorecards are built and experience in assigning risk strategies.
  2. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Ability to query and interpret data quickly and clearly.
  3. Self-Motivation and Discipline: Self-motivated driver of performance with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  4. Problem Assessment and Decision-Making: Strong problem assessment and decision-making ability.
  5. Attention to Detail: Attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to regroup and reorganize when priorities shift.
