Job Description

This role requires the ability to perform a variety of tasks, including inspecting buildings and structures, performing minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, and performing carpentry and painting work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry principles and practices.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect buildings and structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures and equipment
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of leaks and unclogging drains
  • Perform carpentry and painting work, including preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and varnishes
  • Reconfigure and install modular offices and spaces to accommodate user needs
  • Prepare surfaces and paint various structures and equipment to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:



  • 2 years of experience in facility maintenance and working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Completion of high school education
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry principles and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability for issues, with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to department goals
  • Willingsness to participate in skill enhancement programs and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience in food/pharmaceutical environment (preferable but not required)
  • Operational knowledge of hand tools, power tools, basic shop tools, and equipment such as forklifts and boom zooms
