Wood’s Homes is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee our Community Group Care Programs.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for addressing after-hours on-call crises and providing leadership to our front-line staff.

Our programs provide 24/7 treatment for clients experiencing significant challenges, including deficits in daily functioning, high-risk behaviors, and substance use concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising front-line staff, including monitoring and authorizing staff hours, maintaining accurate schedules, and editing case management documentation.
  • Answering crisis phone calls and staff sick calls.
  • Ensuring programs are kept in excellent physical condition and that program structure/integrity is maintained.
  • Conducting clinical and administrative supervisions.
  • Evaluation of job performance – probationary and annual performance evaluations.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Degree in Social or Human Sciences is required.
  • Minimum of four years' experience working with young people and families.
  • Experience managing various crisis situations and ability to appropriately assess and respond to risk.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of child development and how to implement interventions.
  • Demonstration of understanding of Trauma Informed Care and implementation strategies for younger children, and their families.
  • Enthusiasm for providing treatment in context of a family system.
  • Working knowledge of Children's Services and Alberta Health Services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Current certification in: CPR/Standard First Aid.
  • Must have own transportation and valid class 5 driver's license.

Personal suitability is important.
