Health Information Data Specialist: Secure Patient Information Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Data Specialist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. This is a full-time regular position, working 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks, with no relief, float, or field hours required.

As a Health Information Data Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, dependable, and secure collection, maintenance, and dissemination of patient information. You will work independently, utilizing your analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions.

We require a Health Information Management diploma (HIM) and membership in the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) and the Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM). You must also possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as intermediate computer skills.

The salary for this position is within the Pay Band 13 range of $28,580 to $30,620, with a 3-step range. This position requires a valid driver's license, where required. If no qualified applicant is available, a conditional hire may be considered, with the requirement to complete the necessary education or equivalent within 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data collection and analysis plans

Requirements:
