About the Role
Spectrum Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and comfort in their own homes or facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, skincare, and light meal preparation.
- Assess, anticipate, and respond to the changing needs of patients, communicating available resources to patients and their families as needed.
- Perform delegated and assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
- Travel within assigned regions to provide care to patients in their residences or facilities.
Requirements
- Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
- G2/G license with access to a vehicle.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check.
- Updated TB Test (within the last 12 months).
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
