Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a talented and self-directed individual to join our team as an Associate Advisor. As a key member of our Investment Advisor team, you will be responsible for providing proactive advice and support to our clients and the Investment Advisor, helping deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive advice and support to clients and the Investment Advisor, helping deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm.
  • Identify new opportunities and help grow the business.
  • Lean on RBC's strong brand and reputation to build a client base of high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners and manage their complex financial needs.
  • Leverage RBC's extensive investment and wealth management resources to create customized portfolios and wealth plans for clients.
  • Foster trusted, often multigenerational, long-term relationships using personalized service and advice.
  • Establish and maintain reciprocal relationships with RBC partners such as Personal & Commercial Banking and Insurance to ensure clients are supported in all aspects of their financial lives.
Requirements
  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO (if not already obtained, must be willing to be licensed within 6 months of hire date).
  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT).
  • 46 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry, providing face-to-face advice on investment products and services.
  • University degree.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Highly developed client service skills.
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
