Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at the AMHS-KFLA, working in a dynamic environment at a public or community health centre.

About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers 15 hours of work per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule. You will be required to have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and less than 7 months of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping.
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, using your expertise to develop effective care plans.
  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, considering the needs of patients and their families.
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Manage home care cases, providing comprehensive support to patients and their caregivers.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, adhering to professional standards and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of your work.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A valid driver's licence and own vehicle, for travel to work locations.
