About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids Zone Childcare Centre.

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 37.5 hours of weekly tasks in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Caring for Infants and Toddlers: Promoting their physical and emotional well-being through bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Developing Child-Care Programs: Supporting the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children through engaging activities and educational programs.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Supporting Early Childhood Educators: Assisting colleagues in carrying out programs and ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Observing and Reporting Progress: Identifying potential learning or behavioral issues and reporting on children's progress.
  • Staff Meetings and Communication: Participating in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems, and establishing relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Maintaining a Safe Environment: Planning and maintaining a safe environment for children, promoting their health and well-being.
  • School-Age Activities: Organizing activities for school-age children in child-care programs.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervising and coordinating activities of other early childhood educators.
  • Supporting Children with Special Needs: Providing assistance to students with special needs, including those with ADHD or ADD.

  • Repetitive Tasks: Working in an environment with repetitive tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Physically Demanding Activities: Engaging in physically demanding activities that require manual dexterity, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

  • Punctuality and Dependability: Demonstrating punctuality and dependability in meeting deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exhibiting efficient interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills in interacting with colleagues, children, and parents.
