Forklift Operator Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of forklifts, including Crown Reach and Raymond Dockstocker, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse
  • Perform physically demanding duties, such as manually loading and unloading goods
  • Follow all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols
  • Loading trucks, offloading trucks, and operating a slip sheet to unload containers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable driving
Requirements:
  • Valid forklift certification
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment (Crown Reach and Dockstocker)
  • Previous warehouse experience and ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience with slip sheet is an asset
  • High energy and ability to follow processes
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff and outside drivers in dispatch
  • Ability to work independently
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
