Product Line Manager

Overview: The main responsibility of this role is to bridge the gap between product requirements and business objectives within the Canadian sector, aligning closely with the global Product Line Management framework. The Canadian Product Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that the processes align with global New Product Development (NPD), channel strategies, pricing strategies, and overall Product Lifecycle Management.

In this capacity, the Canadian PMM will oversee the financial outcomes, strategic initiatives, and execution throughout the product lifecycle within the Canadian market. Acting as the business leader for the product line, the PMM will serve as the primary link to the global PLM framework, ensuring consistency in processes and integration of Canadian products into the worldwide portfolio. The Canadian PMM will also lead cross-functional teams to implement product line strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze industry trends and competitive landscape for the product.
  2. Identify market segments, target customers, and discover unmet needs.
  3. Collect and prioritize product and customer requirements.
  4. Articulate the product vision and develop a multi-generational product strategy and roadmap.
  5. Establish pricing strategies and guidelines for sales.
  6. Project volumes, market share, and revenue expectations.
  7. Ensure targets for revenue, profitability, cash flow, and customer satisfaction are achieved.
  8. Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing communications, and customer support, to meet objectives.
  9. Ensure product offerings align with the company’s overarching strategy and goals.
  10. Integrate the Canadian product portfolio into the global product framework, rationalizing where necessary and adapting to the unique performance and regulatory needs of the Canadian market.
Qualifications:
  1. Strong understanding of Product Line and Business Strategy.
  2. Financial literacy and acumen.
  3. Insightful market research and analysis skills.
  4. Deep understanding of customer and end-user needs.
  5. Ability to manage technology trends effectively.
