Meat Department Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Sunterra Market team as a Meat Department Associate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a wide variety of meats and seafood products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and portion meat and seafood products according to customer orders
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all food safety standards
- Ensure accurate retail pricing and signage
- Develop and maintain a superior knowledge of primal cuts and cooking techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience
- Assist in monthly inventory and maintain a well-organized back area and coolers
- Perform other duties as delegated by team leaders and store leaders
- Meat Cutting certification is an asset, but not required if the individual has 5 years of experience in meat cutting
- Food Safety Mini Course certification is required (Sunterra will provide training)
- WHMIS Certification is required (Sunterra will provide training)
- Familiarity with digital scale operation is considered an asset
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent stooping or occasional kneeling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 40lbs
