Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Certified Medical Office Assistant to support the smooth function of the Primary Health Care Clinic/Program.

As a Clinical Assistant, you will report to the Manager or delegate, providing extensive clinical and clerical medical office duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic medical tests and accurately assess and record results in medical files.
  • Respond independently and effectively to emergent situations and present health information to individuals.
  • Keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Work independently and within a team, prioritizing and organizing workload and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12.
  • Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant program.
  • One (1) year of recent, related clinical medical office support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
