Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our team at Coast Capital Savings. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for implementing data governance processes and policies to ensure the accuracy, availability, and security of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with data custodians and data stewards to manage data lifecycle, address data issues, and support data-related decision-making.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on data governance practices, tools, and guidelines.
  • Develop a data literacy program to train employees and teams to understand, interpret, and utilize data effectively.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and develop data governance processes that address regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data governance with a proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Working knowledge and experience with data governance tools and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data quality issues using SQL or similar data querying language.
  • Strong planning, tracking, and project management skills.
