Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a department in one of Canada's most iconic and trusted companies. As a Department Manager/Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and leading your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring that every interaction meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring every customer leaves with a positive impression of our store.
  • Maintain the quality of your department's presentation, exceeding customer expectations at all times.
  • Plan and manage daily/weekly activities, objectives, and seasonal changeovers to drive sales growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Train, supervise, and coach team members to achieve their full potential, providing regular feedback and recognizing outstanding performance.
  • Prepare work schedules that meet business needs while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Contribute to the success of our store by assisting with opening and closing responsibilities, helping with new employee orientations, and resolving conflicts while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, creating a safe working environment for everyone.
Requirements
  • Proven supervisory experience with a strong leadership track record or relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding solutions in fast-paced environments.
  • Able to lift and carry items, use a ladder, and adapt to physical demands of the role.
  • Strong computer skills and experience in retail sales, execution, and operations (asset).
  • Experience in operating a cash register and knowledge of point-of-sale systems (asset).

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
