We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Respirologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 - $400,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description

The Pediatric Respirologist will be responsible for conducting medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, preparing research papers for publication and presentation, studying the nature, cause and development of diseases, and supervising laboratory activities.

As a consultant to other physicians, the successful candidate will order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures. They will also work with working groups and have the opportunity to specialize in clinical medicine, specifically pediatrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field. You must also be eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

A criminal record check, medical exam, immunization records, and tuberculosis test are also required. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and be physically demanding. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity.
