As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. You will also be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, surveying building locations and levels, and instructing apprentices. In addition, you will maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry and will be able to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines. The working hours will be 30 to 35 hours per week, and the language of work will be English.
