Job Description

This role involves working as part of a hybrid team, split between in-office and remote work arrangements. You will be required to work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting Equitable employees and clients who don't have an advisor, to review their existing financial situation and recommend new solutions to help them address their needs in both Life & Health and Savings & Retirement product lines.
  • Providing ongoing service to these clients for existing products.
  • Supporting the workflow demands from Equitable employee clients in association with the Manager ELAS.
  • Maintaining a workflow prioritizing support of employees' needs and support plans and programs to develop new sales for internal Equitable staff members.
  • Complying within CLHIA guidelines and Company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Nurturing and building proactive support of the orphan block – partnership with RSMs for elite leads to Prestige Advisors.
  • Conducting insurance and investment planning services for EQ employees and their family.

In addition to your technical skills and knowledge, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This role requires a Life Insurance license in Ontario (if not licensed, the candidate will pass the LLQP exam within 6 months of start date). A Life license in other provinces is also beneficial.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in a related field, such as finance or business administration.
  • Experience in sales and customer service, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance products and competitive products within both Individual Insurance and Savings & Retirement product lines.
  • Time management and administration skills to maintain client files and regulatory expectations.
