At Sparkes Builders, we are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry, from measuring and cutting to assembling and joining materials.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Supervising other workers
  • Estimating costs and materials

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be required to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
