The Hanna Health Centre is a state-of-the-art facility providing 24-hour Emergency Department services, a 17-bed Acute Care ward, and a 61-bed Long Term Care facility.
Job SummaryAs a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Alberta Health Services, you will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Requirements- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
- Critical thinking, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated behaviors consistent with the values of AHS - compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety
- Experience in Geriatric Nursing an asset
