Key Responsibilities- Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to injured workers suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries, and/or brain injuries.
- Complete psychological assessments and counseling sessions to enhance clients' abilities to return to work.
- Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability-related issues.
- Mentor undergraduate Psychology Interns.
- Assist with program development as required.
- Collaborate with Psychology peers to ensure best practice as required.
- You would be required to work on special needs teams such as Complex, Traumatic Psychological Injury or Brain Injury as part of your continued development and to support ongoing business needs.
- Completion of a Master's Degree in Psychology.
- Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and who have completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP's).
- Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with physical and/or chronic pain is preferred.
- Research and psychological consultant experience is an asset.
- A competitive salary of $74,260 per year (Grade H6 - $7,426.02 to $9,611.71 per month) based on location and qualifications.
