Job Title: Outdoor Skate Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outdoor Skate Instructor to join our team at the City of Brampton. As an Outdoor Skate Instructor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality skating lessons for participants of all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver safe and stimulating skating lessons for participants of all levels
  • Supervise participants and maintain complete vigilance to minimize risk
  • Ensure all participants are equipped with proper personal protective equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with participants
  • Complete administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Report all concerns, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor
  • Supervise and mentor volunteers and assistants
  • Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR C from an accredited organization
  • Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in Hockey, Figure Skating, and/or Power Skating or ability to skate at an advanced level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification
  • Permanent residency in Brampton
