Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Graphics Programmer to join our team at Monolith Productions, the award-winning studio behind F.E.A.R. and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing advanced lighting techniques within our proprietary Firebird engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cutting-edge lighting solutions to enhance the visual fidelity of our game.
  • Collaborate with artists to develop and refine major graphical features.
  • Profile and optimize performance-critical code to ensure seamless gameplay.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in graphics technology and apply this knowledge to improve our engine.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in C++ programming.
  • A solid understanding of bidirectional reflectance distribution functions (BRDF) and physically based rendering (PBR).
  • Experience with dynamic global illumination solutions and shader languages.
  • Strong 3D math skills and proficiency with graphics APIs.
  • Experience with game console graphics APIs and advanced calculus skills.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest graphical techniques and technologies.
  • Experience in maintaining a live software product or game.
