Field Supervisor for FTTH Installation Projects

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Field Supervisor for our FTTH installation projects in Hamilton, Ontario. The successful candidate will lead a crew of workers and be responsible for the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct field activities for multiple crews, ensuring safe work practices and meeting project requirements.
- Review work orders and project documentation to ensure accurate installation procedures.
- Instruct crews on project plans, including required installation methods, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with crew members to determine equipment needs and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Provide training and assistance to ensure safe, efficient completion of work.
- Prepare utility locate requests and billing documents for each project.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tailgate, safety, and risk assessment documents.
- Liaise with client representatives, public, and operations management to resolve any issues.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the utility industry.
- Minimum 1 year in a leadership position.
- High school diploma; diploma or degree considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
- Knowledge of outside plant telecommunications network infrastructure.
- Valid Ontario driver's license (G or above) with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 36 kg (80 pounds).
- Competitive salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year.
