Therapist, Mental Health and Addictions

We are seeking a skilled Therapist, Mental Health & Addiction, to join our Trillium Program. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide empathetic and non-judgmental care to individuals struggling with mental health and substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to guide treatment planning and inform care decisions.
  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-informed approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
  • Support family members through education and counseling as needed.
  • Develop and present psycho-educational sessions to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Liaise with referral sources and community organizations to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Sciences program with addiction-specific education.
  • Valid registration with the relevant college/governing body in Ontario, such as the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group and individual counseling, with a focus on addiction and mental health.
  • Strong knowledge of addictions, mental health, and concurrent disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
