Job Title: Director Asset Management

At Axium Infrastructure, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Asset Management to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and progress of our community solar and storage development company, as well as its transition into an independent power producer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the development pipeline and markets targeted to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to develop and implement strategies for asset management and optimization.
  • Work with the VP of construction and Engineering to oversee construction costs, schedules, and progress.
  • Lead the analysis of repowering opportunities within our existing portfolio of assets and develop plans to execute these opportunities.
  • Oversee the renewal, extension, and related waivers and consents of key agreements such as power purchase agreements and O&M agreements.
  • Validate the execution and quality of construction deliverables with the independent engineer and lenders' advisor.
  • Prepare risk assessments and monitor ESG metrics for assets.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with operating partners, customers, service providers, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage our operating partners, conduct site visits, and lead monthly review meetings.
  • Analyze the benefits and risks of key investments and review documentation as required.
Professional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or equivalent. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations environment. Experience in renewable energy development, repowering, and financial planning & analysis is considered a significant asset.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong business acumen and ability to review, analyze, and comment on financial and business results.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale power markets, renewable energy operations, financial modeling, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of the capital structure of renewable projects, including debt and tax equity, is considered a significant asset.
  • Team player who can work in a matrix environment.
  • Professionalism, maturity, and proactivity.
  • Excellent communicator with strong abilities to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Strong IT skills and in-depth knowledge of the Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
