Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Ophthalmology Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with a focus on minor surgeries and/or clinic procedures. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to patients and their significant others.
  • Participate in the collection of statistical data required for program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary Ophthalmology Program Team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Two (2) years of ophthalmic nursing experience.
  • Recent acute care nursing experience is an asset.
  • Experience in Ambulatory Care and minor surgical procedures preferred.
Education and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Ability to speak French at the pre-determined linguistic level is an asset.
