About the Opportunity

We seek a Senior Development Professional to join our exceptional team of development professionals in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry (SSMD). This key role plays a pivotal part in helping Western meet and exceed its fundraising priority goals. The Senior Development Professional will be responsible for the full scope of development activities within their portfolio, including discovery, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and stewardship of prospects and donors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with individuals, community groups, and corporations who share our passion for higher education and research. They will collaborate with staff in the departments of University Advancement to define annual campaign strategies and develop meaningful programs to engage Schulich Alumni and local, regional, and national communities.

Requirements
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience soliciting and closing gifts with a strong working knowledge of donor strategy development.
  • Demonstrated record of program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Proven success generating revenue in a Development portfolio.
Benefits

Western University offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, the successful candidate will also have access to ongoing learning and professional development opportunities to stay informed about fundraising initiatives and the unit's missions and objectives.
