About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Team Assistant to provide administrative support to our Care Coordinators. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators, including processing new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment.
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enter, update, and maintain a high volume of patient data in our electronic database, utilizing your proficiency in database software.
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, providing timely and effective support.
  • Provide back-up support to other positions as required, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • A Grade 12 diploma (minimum) and relevant experience providing clerical support services in a computerized office environment.
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet performance and service goals.
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the ability to interact tactfully and sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meet organizational needs.
  • Advanced oral and written proficiency in English and French is essential.
