The Role: Heavy Machinery Specialist

This full-time, permanent position offers scheduled hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.




  • Verify accurate Production Run Package information.
  • Ensure correct coils are supplied for the production run, performing thorough verification checks.
  • Set up and monitor slitter equipment, maintaining safety standards.
  • Process coils with attention to quality and customer requirements.
  • Regularly inspect equipment for safe operation and maintenance needs.
  • Foster effective communication among employees, supervisors, and plant managers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:



  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience operating heavy machinery in a metals processing environment.
  • Previous experience in warehouse or inventory settings is an asset.
  • Basic math skills and numeracy abilities, essential for calculations.
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and comply with safety regulations, work instructions, and training manuals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry 40 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and reach throughout a shift.
  • A team-oriented approach, reliability, organization, and a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Possession of a crane and/or forklift license is preferred.
