Job Duties:
Deliver courses in the Veterinary Technician program, developing and delivering relevant curriculum to meet course objectives. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate student needs, incorporating active learning techniques and hands-on experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person courses in the Veterinary Technician program
- Develop and deliver curriculum to meet course objectives
- Incorporate teaching strategies to meet student needs
- Engage students through active learning techniques and field experience
- Evaluate student progress and achievement
- Participate in program and college activities as required
- Maintain a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must have successfully completed a diploma in Veterinarian Technician or Technology and possess status in good standing as a Registered Veterinarian Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). A minimum of five years' experience working in a clinical practice setting with emphasis on companion animals is also required.

Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to life-long learning, and the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in curriculum development, engaging delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, online teaching, and student success strategies is an asset.
