Mental Health Therapist Staff Position

Job Description:
Health Careers in Sask is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the La Loche Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing mental health and psychosocial client services, including screening and assessing client needs and determining relevant treatment plans. They will also participate in community development initiatives and evaluate PHC initiatives within the site. In this role, you will promote quality health care outcomes, working within established standards of practice to ensure that clients receive a high standard of primary health care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver mental health and psychosocial client services
- Screen and assess client needs and develop treatment plans
- Participate in community development initiatives and evaluate PHC initiatives
- Promote quality health care outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of addictions screening and assessment tools and procedures
- Knowledge of appropriate community resources related to this patient population
- Ability to apply ethical, culturally sensitive, and legal principles in practice
