About the Role

We are looking for a Carpenter with excellent hands-on skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks involved in building, renovating, and repairing residences and wooden structures.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and/or material costs for clients and project managers
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems according to design plans
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware as required
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on-site, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Supervise and mentor junior tradespeople, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Evaluate costs and materials required for each project
Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic outdoor environment, often at heights, and in confined spaces. You must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Setting

This role requires frequent travel to various locations across different regions. You will be working in a variety of settings, including construction sites, residential areas, and commercial zones.

The ideal candidate will possess the following physical capabilities:

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling to perform tasks
  • A combination of sitting, standing, walking throughout the day
  • Handling heavy loads and equipment
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Physically demanding tasks, requiring strength and endurance
