Offworld Industries is an independent game development studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, "Squad". The company was formed in 2014 by a team of experienced developers who had previously worked together on the well-known Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure to ensure it meets the needs of our growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitLab.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance issues using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure changes meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure and security.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, including experience with AWS services.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and scalability principles.
- Experience with automation frameworks and supporting tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitLab.
- Experience with coding languages such as Shell, Python, Java, and Go.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Good understanding of database technologies and data storage solutions such as SQL, NoSQL, and NewSQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a game development studio or similar industry.
- Familiarity with productivity and project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
- Experience with mentoring and executing Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability strategies in cloud environments.
- Experience with configuring and managing application/web servers like Apache HTTPD and NGINX.
