Cybersecurity Strategist

A Senior Cyber Security Advisor at National Bank plays a crucial role in shaping the bank's cybersecurity posture. This expert position requires tactical and strategic guidance to help business and technical teams achieve an acceptable level of security risk.
Your key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of the cybersecurity risk posture of one or more business units;
- Evaluate the maturity of cybersecurity controls against Canadian and international regulatory frameworks;
- Ensure that risk considerations are addressed throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle of systems;
- Develop and propose proactive solutions to reduce and anticipate cybersecurity risks;
- Recommend effective security measures for applications and infrastructure components, exercising judgment within existing policies and industry best practices;
- Produce, maintain, and communicate indicators related to progress, performance, risk, etc.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with five years of experience in information security;
- Experience in authentication, authorization, access control, auditing, cryptography, and other related areas;
- Familiarity with recognized risk assessment tools;
- Understanding of application architecture and related technologies;
- Knowledge of one of the main cyber regulatory frameworks for financial institutions (PCI, OSFI, FFIEC, NYDFS, etc.)
- Knowledge of one of the main regulatory frameworks surrounding personal data protection (Bill 25, PIPEDA, GDPR, GLBA, etc.)
