Job Title: Tile Setter

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Ibii Construction Inc. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile, as well as mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tile
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
  • Prepare rough plans and sketches
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips
