About the Job
The Regional Sales Manager for Northern California will spearhead brand-building efforts by fostering strong relationships with on and off-premise accounts, customers, and distributor representatives. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver clear brand messaging, implement effective strategies, and achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and distribution plans for the Northern California market to drive growth, increase category share, and enhance brand visibility.
- Maintain and strengthen day-to-day relationships with distributors, ensuring brand and channel priorities are aligned.
- Conduct business reviews and lead distributor training and development.
- Implement strategic programs for product launches, retail promotions, and brand-building activities.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of key accounts and market conditions, using data-driven insights to identify opportunities and allocate resources effectively.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and consult on strategies that benefit both parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of alcohol/beverage industry experience.
- Proven experience in on and off-premise sales and distributor management.
- Understanding of brand building in the spirits category, specifically in the broad market channel.
- Understanding of pricing, profit, and brand economics at the account level.
- Demonstrated understanding and deployment of long-term branding with short-term sales results.
- Strategic analysis and presentation skills.
- Sales and marketing expertise.
- Flexible and committed to travel up to 25% of the time.
