Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Procedures Unit (CPU). As a key member of our inter-professional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient-focused nursing care to patients undergoing various procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
About the Role:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop appropriate strategies for patient care
- Provide education to patients and families on health teaching and discharge instructions
- Participate in critical care experience, including acute resus, CCU, and ICU
- Maintain current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Requirements:
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
- Strong background in cardiovascular physiology, electrocardiography, and rhythm interpretation
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, femoral and radial arterial management, and sterile OR techniques
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position and respond to callbacks within 30 minutes
