About Us

Pauktuutit is the national voice of Inuit women, dedicated to promoting gender equality and addressing the unique challenges faced by Inuit women. As President and CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our strategic plan, building partnerships with government departments, funders, and community groups, and advocating for policy change that benefits Inuit women and girls.

Job Description

The President and CEO is the key liaison between the Board of Directors and the Pauktuutit team, managing overall organizational risk and risk mitigation strategies. You will oversee the development and execution of our strategic plan, which includes developing and overseeing implementation of new focus areas, fund diversification, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Strategic Direction: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with Pauktuutit's vision and mission.
  • Governance: Enable the Board of Directors to fulfill its duties and responsibilities, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.
  • Brand Leadership: Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that reflects Pauktuutit's values and mission.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Social and Emotional Intelligence: Build trusting relationships with stakeholders, including partners, donors, and community members.
  • Political Acumen: Understand and navigate the Canadian government's policy structures, parliamentary committees, and governance systems.
Requirements
  • Mandatory Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Human Rights, Business Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 6 years of experience within a board governance framework.
    • Demonstrated experience leading organizations, particularly those focused on advocacy and project delivery.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
    • Ability to build strong business relationships and networks in the sector.
    • Fluency in English and Inuktitut, with working knowledge of French an asset.
Benefits

Pauktuutit offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. The role also includes a hybrid work arrangement, flexible work schedule, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
