Pump System Technical Lead

Celeros Flow Technology is a leading provider of mission-critical flow control solutions. We are seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Hydraulic Expert to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing hydraulic systems for pump equipment and machinery. This includes reviewing customer purchase orders and design specifications, establishing hydraulic modifications required to achieve as-sold performance, and working alongside the Tendering/Advance Engineering group to ensure performance parameters are captured at the order entry stage.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in hydraulic engineering or equivalent experience (5-10 years). You should be proficient in performance testing requirements and associated hydraulic design, as well as classical design techniques and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be providing direction, support, and consultation with employees, sales teams, and customers.

Job Description
This role involves reviewing customer purchase orders and design specifications to understand project requirements. You will establish hydraulic modifications required to achieve as-sold performance and work with the Tendering/Advance Engineering group to ensure performance parameters are captured at the order entry stage. Additionally, you will define performance, NPSH, and mechanical run test requirements, evaluate historical bad actors vs. as-tendered pump selections, improve pumps passed test first time, perform all required hydraulic checks and calculations, manage the creation of hydraulic drawings and customer-related document submissions, create hydraulic review and traveler documents, and work under the technical guidance of senior hydraulic engineers and others within engineering and other functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a certificate in hydraulic engineering or equivalent experience (5-10 years), proficiency in performance testing requirements and associated hydraulic design, classical design techniques, and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be providing direction, support, and consultation with employees, sales teams, and customers. Basic programming skills in Excel, Sharepoint, Power Apps, and VBA are preferred. Experience in performance test data analysis and processing for compliance against specification is also desirable. The ability to develop skills beyond current expertise, drive change, push innovation, improve departmental efficiencies, and reduce COPQ is essential.
