Manufacturing Labourer

EVRAZ North America, a leading manufacturer of steel and other metals, is seeking a reliable and physically capable labourer to join its production team in Winnipeg. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.
Compensation PackageWe offer a competitive salary of $40,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as additional benefits such as medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee cost.
Job DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Labourer with EVRAZ North America, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working in conveyor picking stations to remove unwanted material from product streams
- Cleaning production areas, including shoveling, scraping, and sweeping
- Assisting operators with maintenance and repairs of equipment
- Loading and unloading material and equipment
- Assisting in organizing and cleaning warehousing and part storage areas
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- No prior experience necessary, but previous work experience in manufacturing or a similar environment will be considered an asset
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, and moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- The willingness and ability to work in variable weather conditions
- Knowledge and understanding of metallic materials, ferrous and non-ferrous classifications, will be considered an asset
