Job Summary

We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to promote a safe work environment within our region/business unit. This role involves ensuring regulatory and company policy compliance, appropriate investigation procedures are followed, and formulating strategies, tactics, and improvement initiatives to prevent injuries and auto crashes, reduce workers' compensation and liability costs, and lessen risk.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze cost statements to identify high-impact areas with greatest claims cost.
  2. Allocate loss prevention resources to address areas of high-claims cost.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders to make sound financial decisions on injury and auto crash reduction strategies.
  4. Monitor expenses and verify return on investment to ensure efficient use of resources.
  5. Communicate and implement new or changing regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  6. Verify compliance to company policies and regulatory requirements through audits to ensure our brand and reputation are protected.
  7. Support business unit development of corrective actions for all identified issues and validate execution.
  8. Analyze audit data and health and safety compliance reports to identify action plans, abatement strategies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent.
  • Flexible travel schedule.
  • Health and Safety experience.
  • Bilingual French/English - both written and verbal.
