We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Patient Care Provider to join our team at Island View Place Care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of our residents.



Job Summary




  • This role involves providing personal care and support to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring their overall well-being.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, preparing meal trays, and serving patients as needed.
  • Additionally, you will transport patients between care facilities, assist with exercise routines, and administer medications under supervision.
  • Your attention to detail, patience, and ability to work under pressure will make you an excellent fit for this role.


Responsibilities




  2. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including making beds, emptying bed pans, and restocking supplies.
  3. Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  4. Prepare meal trays, serve meals, and ensure patients' nutritional needs are met.
  5. Transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as necessary.
  6. Administer medications under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  7. Supervise exercise routines, assist with physical therapy, and promote overall resident well-being.
  8. Maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant data.
  9. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.


Requirements




  • Diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in health care aide training.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate required.
  • Criminal record check completed prior to start date.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
