BENTO SUSHI SIMCOE is seeking a motivated and experienced Sushi Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week.

Job Summary

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and no degree, certificate, or diploma required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook sushi according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory and records.
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to meet health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions

  • Permanent position with 30 hours per week.

We offer a competitive salary estimated at $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience. Public transportation is available.
